Atlético Choloma is a Honduran football club based in Choloma, one of the country's largest and most rapidly growing industrial cities. The club competes in the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional de Honduras, the top tier of Honduran football, and plays home matches at Estadio Municipal Rubén Deras, which accommodates around 5,000 supporters. Founded to represent Choloma's growing urban community, the club has worked to establish itself within Honduras's competitive domestic league structure. While not among the traditional powerhouses of Honduran football, Atlético Choloma contributes to the development of football in a region with a large and passionate local population. The club provides opportunities for emerging Honduran talent and serves as a source of local pride in a city better known for its manufacturing industry than its sporting heritage.
