Club Atlético Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mendoza, known as Gimnasia Mendoza, was founded in 1908 in the city of Mendoza, in the Cuyo region of western Argentina. The club competes in the Liga Profesional Argentina and plays home matches at the Estadio Víctor Antonio Legrotaglie, which has a capacity of 11,500 spectators. Nicknamed El Lobo de la Alameda, the club is one of the most traditional institutions in Mendoza's sporting culture.
