RBライプツィヒ vs PSV

RB Leipzig won 1-0 at home to PSV in the Champions League, and they did it after Ivan Perišić missed a penalty in the first half. The spot kick came after a VAR review for a handball by Ridle Baku. Perišić took it for PSV, but Maarten Vandevoordt saved it and the game stayed goalless. Earlier, Baku had a volleyed effort of his own saved by Matěj Kovář. Sergiño Dest was booked just before the break and it was 0-0 at half-time. The second half was short on chances until the 75th minute. A corner was cleared to Brajan Gruda, whose curling shot took a deflection and beat Kovář. PSV had the better of the ball late on, and Armando Obispo had a goal ruled out for offside in the 83rd minute. Obispo was then booked two minutes later. The win follows a 4-1 defeat at Como on the opening matchday for Leipzig. PSV came in with one point from their first game and leave with the same total. Leipzig travel to Feyenoord in their next league-phase match.
