Ural vs Ufa

Ural made home advantage count at the Ekaterinburg Arena, brushing aside Ufa 3-0 in a Round 5 First League clash. The hosts dominated from the first whistle, controlling possession and territory, and their pressure eventually told just before the break with a clinical opener that set the tone for the rest of the afternoon.

Vladislav Malkevich broke the deadlock in the 38th minute, finishing off a cross from the right delivered by Martin Sekulic. Sekulic then turned provider into scorer himself, curling home from the edge of the box in the 76th minute to double the advantage. Ilya Skoropupov completed the rout in the 89th minute with a powerful strike from twelve meters. Several yellow cards were shown on both sides, but nothing disrupted Ural's control, they finished with seven shots on target to Ufa's none.

The win keeps Ural firmly in the promotion conversation and sends a statement to the rest of the division after a lopsided, one-sided afternoon. For Ufa, it's a sobering result that halts their early-season momentum and drops them further off the pace near the top of the table.
