FC Verbroedering Dender EH vs SV Zulte-Waregem

Zulte Waregem pulled off a gutsy comeback to beat Dender 2-1 in the relegation playoffs on Sunday, with Joseph Opoku netting twice in a seven-minute spell to flip the script on the hosts. David Hrncar gave Dender the lead just three minutes into the second half, but Waregem responded swiftly. Opoku equalized on 55 before converting again at 62, latching onto a smart ball from Jeppe Erenbjerg. The drama kept coming late on: referee Vergoote twice pointed to the spot for the visitors, but Dender keeper Gauthier Gallon was the hero, saving a retaken penalty from Erenbjerg and then denying Enrique Lofolomo's follow-up effort. The win gives Zulte Waregem mathematical certainty of staying up, and as a side effect also confirms Cercle Brugge's survival. Dender are in real danger but still have four matches to rescue their Pro League status.
