Sevilla and Rayo Vallecano played out a 1-1 draw at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán on Sunday, as neither side could find a winner in a scrappy La Liga Round 27 clash in front of 37,178 fans. Akor Adams gave the hosts an early lead in the 13th minute, firing a right-footed strike from close range into the top corner after a sharp ball from José Ángel Carmona. Rayo hit back five minutes into the second half when defender Pacha Espino curled a stunning left-footed effort from outside the box into the upper corner, with Fran Pérez providing the assist. Rayo dominated possession with 58% of the ball but couldn't find a winner, while picking up three yellow cards to Sevilla's one in a feisty affair. The draw leaves both sides locked on 31 points in mid-table, Sevilla 12th, Rayo 13th after 27 games. A point gained on the road for the visitors, but a frustrating one dropped at home for the Andalusians.
