Inter cruised past Cagliari 3-0 at San Siro on Thursday, underscoring their Serie A dominance with a clinical second-half showing. A devastating four-minute burst after the break proved the defining moment, and there was only ever going to be one winner. Marcus Thuram broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute, before Nicolò Barella doubled the advantage four minutes later with a thunderous strike from outside the box that left the goalkeeper with no chance. Piotr Zielinski added a composed finish in stoppage time to complete the rout. Cagliari picked up two early yellow cards through Sebastiano Esposito (15') and Gennaro Borrelli (20'), but the visitors offered little going forward and never seriously threatened. The victory, Inter's third in a row, stretches their lead over second-placed Napoli to 12 points with 78 accumulated. A 21st Scudetto is drawing closer. For Cagliari, still only six points clear of the drop in 16th place, survival remains the priority as they prepare to host Atalanta next.
