Inter Miami vs Austin

Inter Miami christened their brand-new Nu Stadium with a dramatic 2-2 draw against Austin FC on Saturday night. Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez twice hauled the hosts back from behind in front of a buzzing crowd at the 25,000-seat venue. Austin stunned the sellout faithful when Guilherme Biro netted the first-ever goal at Nu Stadium in the 6th minute. Messi responded with a trademark header just four minutes later to level things. Jayden Nelson restored the visitors' lead in the 53rd, but Suarez smashed home a volley in the 82nd to salvage a point for the hosts. The result stretches Inter Miami's unbeaten MLS run to five matches, though the defending champions will feel two points slipped away on their big night. Austin FC remain winless in four, but will take heart from a gutsy road display in Miami.
