Dečić vs Liepāja

Decic's European run ended in familiar fashion, as FK Liepaja sealed a 3-1 aggregate win with a 1-2 victory in Podgorica. Davor Kontić's early strike briefly raised hopes of a comeback, but the Latvians answered before the break and never let go. Kontić put Decic ahead in the 12th minute, only for Kyvon Leidsman to restore Liepaja's aggregate lead in first-half stoppage time. Fellipe Vieira Cardoso then made it 2-1 on the night just after the hour mark, killing off the tie. It was a calmer affair than the first leg, with no red cards this time, just a handful of late yellow cards as both sides pushed. The result completes a remarkable double for Liepaja, who won the first leg 1-0 despite playing over an hour with ten men after an early sending-off. For Decic, a promising start wasn't enough to erase that deficit, and their European run ends at the first qualifying hurdle while Liepaja move on to the next round.
