Burnley vs Wolves

Two already-relegated sides signed off the Premier League season in style, as Burnley and Wolves drew 1-1 at Turf Moor. Zian Flemming's composed leveller just after the break was the moment that defined a spirited final-day affair. Adam Armstrong broke the deadlock from the spot in the 5th minute after VAR judged that Florentino's arm had deflected the ball inside the box. Burnley hit back almost immediately after the restart, Flemming curling a cool finish from the edge of the area to make it 1-1. Both sides went close to a winner, Burnley struck the post, and Wolves rattled the woodwork too, before late yellow cards for Yerson Mosquera and Ashley Barnes summed up the feisty mood at the final whistle. Ultimately, though, the scoreline barely mattered. Both clubs had already been relegated before kick-off. Burnley end up 19th on 22 points, Wolves finish bottom with 20, and both now face the challenge of rebuilding for Championship football next season.
