Colombia qualified for three consecutive FIFA World Cups from 1990–1998 and again in 2014, when they reached the quarter-finals with James Rodríguez winning the Golden Boot. They also won the Copa América in 2001. The team plays home matches at the Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez in Barranquilla and other venues. The current generation features Radamel Falcao, Luis Díaz, and James Rodríguez, continuing Colombia's proud South American footballing tradition.
