Pisa Sporting Club, founded in 1909, hails from the historic city of Pisa in Tuscany, central Italy, world-famous for its Leaning Tower. The club plays in Serie A and calls the Arena Garibaldi its home, a compact and atmospheric ground that has hosted Italian football since 1919. Known as the Nerazzurri for their black and blue colours, Pisa enjoyed their greatest period in the 1980s and early 1990s, competing in Serie A and reaching the UEFA Cup. After years spent in the lower divisions, the club experienced a revival, earning promotion back to the top flight and reigniting passion among their loyal fanbase with an energetic, pressing style of play under ambitious new management.
