Club Nacional de Football, established on May 14, 1899, in Montevideo as the first football club exclusively for locally born Uruguayan players, plays at the Estadio Gran Parque Central — one of the oldest functioning stadiums in the world, opened in 1900 and a host venue for the inaugural 1930 FIFA World Cup.
