Al Khaleej host Al Hazem in the Pro League on 29 October with the two sides having begun the 2026-27 season in very different ways. Al Hazem were on 8 points after six rounds, a solid return for a club that has to prove it belongs at this level. Their latest win was a 1-0 home victory over Al-Taawoun, settled by an early goal from Abu Bakr Bah. Before that they drew 1-1 with Al-Shabab, Afimico Pululu equalising in the fifth minute of stoppage time. Al Khaleej have had a slower time of it. They opened with a 0-0 draw against Al-Shabab and a 1-1 draw with Abha, where Joshua King scored first. Then came a 5-1 home defeat by Al Hilal in round four, with Saleh Al-Amri getting their only goal, which left them on 3 points at that stage.
