Бока Хуниорс – Ланус

Boca Juniors needed 93 minutes to break down a stubborn Lanús side, finally finding a breakthrough in the dying seconds of a tense Clausura clash at La Bombonera. It was a nervy win that matters more in the standings than it looked on the pitch for long stretches. Tomás Belmonte was the hero, chipping the ball over goalkeeper Nahuel Losada in stoppage time after a slick pass from Santiago Ascacíbar sent him clean through. The goal survived a VAR check, sparking wild celebrations. Before that, Lanús had been sharper for long spells, with Felipe Peña Biafore twice crashing shots off the crossbar, while Álvaro Montero kept Boca alive with a big save on Alan Wlk late on. The win lifts Boca into Copa Libertadores qualification positions in the annual table, snapping a run of frustrating results. For Lanús, it is a tough blow after controlling large stretches only to leave empty-handed, another setback in their own push for continental qualification.
