Jaro
FC Jaro, founded in 1965, is a professional football club based in Pietarsaari (Jakobstad), a bilingual coastal city in western Finland. The club competes in the Veikkausliiga, Finland's top professional division, and plays home matches at Jakobstads Centralplan (Pietarsaaren Keskuskenttä), a ground with a capacity of 4,600. Jaro has experienced several promotions and relegations over its history, establishing itself as one of Finland's yo-yo clubs between the top two divisions. The club has a strong local identity in this predominantly Swedish-speaking region of Finland and has developed numerous Finnish internationals over the decades.
