Club Bruges KV

Club Brugge KV, formally established on November 13, 1891, and playing at the 29,042-capacity Jan Breydel Stadium in the historic medieval city of Bruges, is Belgium's second most decorated club with 19 Pro League titles and a record 12 Belgian Cup victories. The club reached the UEFA Cup final in 1976 and the European Cup final in 1978 — both times finishing as runners-up to Liverpool — demonstrating that a club from a city of 130,000 could genuinely compete with Europe's finest. In the 2024-25 season Club Brugge advanced to the Champions League Round of 16 and won the Belgian Cup, continuing a remarkable tradition of continental competition. The club's academy has produced Charles De Ketelaere and Lois Openda, now two of Europe's most exciting attacking talents, reflecting a model of sustainable excellence admired across the continent.
