The Belize national football team is governed by the Football Federation of Belize (FFB), a member of CONCACAF and FIFA. The team competes in CONCACAF qualifying tournaments including FIFA World Cup preliminaries and Gold Cup qualifiers, representing the small Central American nation. Football has grown in popularity in Belize, with increased investment in youth development and grassroots infrastructure in recent years. The squad is primarily composed of locally based players from the National Elite League, with some diaspora talent. Home matches are played at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City. While Belize has yet to qualify for a major CONCACAF tournament, the national team continues to develop and compete, benefiting from regional FIFA and CONCACAF development programmes aimed at improving football in smaller football nations.
