Parma

Founded in 1913, Parma Calcio 1913 is based in Parma, a city in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. The club competes in Serie A and plays its home matches at the Stadio Ennio Tardini. Known as the Crociati, or Crusaders, Parma experienced a golden era in the 1990s, winning three UEFA Cups, two Coppa Italia titles, and a UEFA Super Cup. The club was backed by the Parmalat food empire, attracting world-class players like Gianfranco Zola, Hristo Stoichkov, and Gianluigi Buffon. Despite a dramatic bankruptcy and fall through the divisions in 2015, Parma made a remarkable comeback, returning to the top flight and reclaiming their place among Italy's established clubs with a determined, combative style of play.
