PSV

PSV Eindhoven, founded on 31 August 1913 by executives of the Philips electrical company and playing at the 36,500-capacity Philips Stadion in Eindhoven, won a spectacular European Cup, Eredivisie, and KNVB Cup treble in the 1987-88 season under Guus Hiddink, defeating Benfica on penalties in the Stuttgart final. The club has won the Eredivisie 26 times — second only to Ajax — the KNVB Cup 11 times, and set a Dutch record with 90 points in the 2023-24 season. PSV are celebrated for attracting and developing world-class talent, including the young Ronaldo Nazário, Romário, Arjen Robben, and Cody Gakpo. Their distinctive red and white stripes and tradition of technical, attacking Dutch football have made them a beloved and enduring institution in European football.
