Guadalajara Chivas ended a four-match winless run at the Estadio Akron, beating Necaxa 1-0 in the Apertura 2026 thanks to an own goal 13 rounds into the season. It took until the 77th minute. A run from Roberto Alvarado caused panic in the visiting defence and Agustín Oliveros turned the ball into his own net. Before that, Alvarado had seen early efforts stopped by Javier Orantes, and Jordán Carrillo headed wide just before the break. Necaxa pushed late and Raúl Rangel had to make four saves, including one from Owen González in the 82nd minute and another from Javier Ruiz in the 90th. Necaxa had more shots (11 to 10) but Chivas held 59% of the ball. Chivas have 23 points from 13 games and sit provisionally second, behind América on 24 from 11. Necaxa stay 17th on 9 points, after a 2-0 loss to Atlas in the previous round.
