Excelsior dhidi ya PSV

PSV came away from Rotterdam with all three points, edging Excelsior 1-2 in a game that looked routine early on but got tense after the break. Ruben van Bommel put the visitors ahead inside the first five minutes, and it seemed like PSV might cruise from there. Excelsior had other ideas, hauling themselves level in the 54th minute through Casper Widell, set up by Irakli Yegoian. The response from PSV was almost immediate: Ricardo Pepi, teed up by Sergino Dest, restored the lead just minutes later. From there PSV controlled proceedings, dominating possession and peppering the goal with shots while Excelsior struggled to create clear chances of their own. For PSV, it's a much-needed response after a shaky start to the campaign, showing they can grind out a result even when challenged. Excelsior, fresh off a big win last time out, will be frustrated to have matched PSV for a spell only to come away empty-handed.
