Congo DR vs Danmark

D.R. Congo and Denmark shared the spoils in a goalless draw at Stade Maurice Dufrasne in Liège. The closest either side came to breaking the deadlock was in the 51st minute, when Pierre-Emile Højbjerg's effort rattled the woodwork for the Danes. Denmark dominated possession but found it hard to break down a well-organized D.R. Congo backline. Goalkeeper Filip Jörgensen was called into action twice in the second half, denying Noah Sadiki from range in the 64th minute before keeping out Simon Banza's best effort eight minutes later. An early knock for Patrick Dorgu in the 7th minute raised concerns, though the Manchester United man shook it off and played on. The night also marked a milestone for Christian Eriksen, who earned his 150th international cap. For D.R. Congo, the result is a genuine confidence boost ahead of a demanding World Cup Group K that includes Portugal, Colombia, and Uzbekistan. Denmark, meanwhile, will need sharper finishing when the tournament gets underway.
