RCD Espanyol de Barcelona was founded in 1900, making them one of Spain's oldest football clubs. Based in Cornella de Llobregat in the Barcelona metropolitan area, Espanyol play at the RCDE Stadium. Known as 'Los Periquitos' (The Budgerigars) or 'Blanquiazules', Espanyol have a proud history as Barcelona's second club, providing a distinct identity separate from FC Barcelona.
