United States
The United States men's national football team, governed by U.S. Soccer, has undergone a remarkable transformation since reaching the 1930 FIFA World Cup semi-finals. The USMNT qualified for every World Cup from 1990 to 2022, with the historic quarterfinal run in 2002 standing as their best modern result. The team plays home matches across various stadiums nationwide. Iconic players including Landon Donovan, Clint Dempsey, Tim Howard, and Pulisic-era stars Christian Pulisic and Tyler Adams have defined different eras of American soccer. Co-hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup alongside Canada and Mexico represents a transformational moment for the sport in the United States, with the team aiming to make a deep run on home soil under coach Mauricio Pochettino.
