Rangers beat Aberdeen 1-0 at Hampden to reach the League Cup final, with a late goal settling a semi-final that was short on chances for long spells. The result extends the unbeaten run of Rangers to 11 games and gives Derek McInnes a chance of a first trophy as their manager. They meet the winner of Hibernian and Hearts in the final on 13 December. Aberdeen have now lost four of their last five matches, and their last win in this competition came in 2014.
