Getafe CF is a Spanish football club founded in 1983 in Getafe, a city just south of Madrid. Competing in La Liga, the club plays at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez stadium. Known as 'Los Azulones' (The Big Blues), Getafe has established itself as a resilient top-flight presence despite modest resources compared to Spain's elite clubs. The team is renowned for its physical, combative style of play and exceptional defensive organisation. Under various managers, Getafe achieved remarkable European finishes, including UEFA Cup qualification. Their blue kit reflects the club's straightforward, no-nonsense identity. Getafe represents the working-class suburban communities surrounding Madrid and has become a symbol of overachievement through teamwork and tactical discipline in Spanish football.
