Manchester City host Brighton at the Etihad on 28 October in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup. City hold the trophy and sit six points clear at the top of the Premier League after winning all seven of their opening league games. Brighton are third on 16 points from seven. City beat Ipswich 3-2 on Saturday, with Erling Haaland scoring twice, and they put five past Norwich in the last round. Brighton arrive on the back of a 5-0 home win over Crystal Palace, in which Diego Gomez scored from the halfway line and the visitors led 3-0 inside ten minutes. In the previous round they came from two goals down to win 3-2 at Old Trafford. City have the better record between the sides, with 20 wins from 33 meetings against eight for Brighton. This is their first League Cup meeting since 2008. Our prediction: 2-1
