Ливерпул против Тотенхем Хотспур

Liverpool eased past Tottenham 3-1 at Anfield to reach the Carabao Cup fourth round, though the night's warmest moment came from former Red Andy Robertson, whose second-half introduction for Spurs earned a standing ovation from the home crowd. Alexis Mac Allister opened the scoring in the 21st minute with a thumping first-time finish, and Cody Gakpo doubled the lead early in the second half. Conor Gallagher pulled one back with a header in the 69th minute, but Dominik Szoboszlai settled it with a stunning long-range strike deep into stoppage time, after goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili denied Omar Marmoush a leveller with a brilliant late save. Liverpool, rotating heavily under manager Andoni Iraola, stayed unbeaten and move into the next round with confidence ahead of their weekend league trip to Bournemouth. Tottenham's cup exit stings, though Gallagher's goal at least ended a run without a goal for De Zerbi's side.
