Серкл Бриж против Антверпен

Cercle Brugge have their first league win of the season. They beat Antwerp 2-1 at the Jan Breydelstadion on matchday 10, with Tunde Akinsola scoring both goals, after nine league games without a victory. The first half finished goalless and was short on quality. Antwerp came closest just before the break, when Semm Renders got past Coucke and Geoffrey Kondo cleared off the line (39'). Cercle struck three minutes after the restart. Akinsola scored from close range (48') after the visitors were caught high up the pitch. He added a second at the near post (61') from a Gary Ngoura pass. Substitute Modibo Fofana pulled one back (81'), his shot going through Coucke's legs. Late on, the referee checked VAR for a possible red card for Rein Van Helden but showed nothing. Antwerp collected five bookings. Cercle climb to 17th on 6 points and leave Kortrijk bottom on 4. Antwerp stay 12th on 10 points, with six defeats in ten.
