Hearts and Rangers meet at Tynecastle on Wednesday night with four points between them. Rangers are second on 20 points from nine games, Hearts third on 16, and Celtic lead on 24 after beating Hearts 7-1 on Sunday. That result was a heavy one for the home side. Laurent Mendy got their only goal, but they trailed 5-1 at the break. Before it, Wouter Vrancken's team had beaten St Mirren 5-0, with Lawrence Shankland absent from the scoring and penalties from Miller doing much of the work. They have won five of nine this season. Rangers were held 2-2 at Dundee on Saturday, when Badredine Bouanani and Nicolas Raskin scored before the lead went within nine minutes. They had beaten Kilmarnock 3-1 a week earlier and won 1-0 at Celtic in September. They play St Johnstone on Saturday first. A home win would put Hearts level on points with Rangers.
