Мексико против Португалија

The freshly renovated Estadio Banorte threw open its doors for the first time, but neither Mexico nor Portugal could find the net as the two sides played out a cagey 0-0 draw in a pre-World Cup friendly. Portugal controlled the ball with 61% possession and fashioned the better openings. Gonçalo Ramos had the clearest chance of the night, striking the post after being played through one-on-one, while Bruno Fernandes and João Félix linked up nicely but could not carve out a decisive final ball. Without Cristiano Ronaldo, nursing a hamstring issue, Portugal lacked the killer instinct to break down a stubborn Mexico backline. For the World Cup co-hosts, a clean sheet against quality European opposition is a solid confidence boost as both nations fine-tune their squads ahead of this summer's tournament on Mexican soil.
