FC Copenhagen vs Braga

FC Copenhagen opened their Conference League league phase with a 3-0 win over Braga at Parken, all three goals arriving after a goalless first half. The breakthrough came four minutes into the second half, when Mohamed Elyounoussi scored in the 49th minute. Braga thought they had levelled in the 63rd minute through Ricardo Horta, but VAR ruled the goal out for offside with the score still 1-0. Andreas Cornelius then finished it off. He scored in the 79th minute from a Birger Meling assist and added a second in the 86th, set up by Thapelo Maseko. Akos Markgraf and Hunor Nemeth were booked for Copenhagen, and Diant Ramaj kept out a Diogo Travassos effort before the break. It is a good start for Copenhagen, who lost 2-1 at Midtjylland last weekend. Braga had kept a clean sheet in all six qualifying matches and now begin the league phase pointless, with just one away win in their last six.
