Borussia Dortmund won 2-1 at Sabah in Baku, with Serhou Guirassy scoring both of their goals on a night when the home side kept coming until the end. Guirassy put the visitors ahead in the 10th minute. Felix Nmecha shot, goalkeeper Stas Pokatilov could not hold it, and the striker tapped in the rebound. Sabah levelled in the 39th minute when Aden McCarthy headed in a free kick from Tymoteusz Puchacz, delivered from the right. Dortmund had taken nine shots to Sabah's three by then, and their fans were not happy with the 1-1 at the break. The winner came in the 53rd minute. Joey Veerman crossed and Guirassy hit it first time. Sabah collected three yellow cards, for Steve Solvet, McCarthy and Akim Zedadka, and in the 75th minute Orphé Mbina had a chance to level again, but Daniel Svensson got a block in. The result takes Dortmund to six points from their first two games, after the 3-2 win over Villarreal. Sabah stay on three points from three, and their run of five straight European home wins this season has ended.
