Galatasaray won the Istanbul derby 2-1 at RAMS Park on Monday night, and Victor Osimhen scored both of their goals before half-time. The first arrived in the 29th minute. Baris Alper Yilmaz picked him out and Osimhen finished low inside the near post with his left foot. Yilmaz had already seen two efforts saved by Ederson in the opening 17 minutes, and the Fenerbahce keeper also turned a shot from Osimhen round the post in the 38th. The second came in the 44th. Ederson punched a throw-in clear, Davinson Sanchez shot, and Osimhen got his head to the loose ball. Irfan Can Kahveci gave the visitors a way back in the 62nd minute, but Galatasaray kept hold of the lead until the end. Galatasaray arrived top of the table on 19 points from eight games. The win lifts them to 22 and leaves them six points ahead of Fenerbahce, who stay on 16 after their third defeat of the season.
