Arouca vs Moreirense

Arouca put on a statement performance at home, cruising past Moreirense 4-0 in a game that was effectively over by halftime. The hosts were sharp, controlled and clinical from the opening exchanges, leaving their visitors with no real answer. The breakthrough came in the 23rd minute when a Moreirense defensive mix-up ended in an own goal from Maracás, handing Arouca the lead they never looked like relinquishing. José Fontán doubled the advantage in the 30th minute, and Iván Barbero added a third right at the stroke of halftime to make it 3-0 before the break. Dylan Nandín rounded things off in the 90th minute, capping a dominant display from start to finish. The win sends Arouca to the top of the table, level on six points with reigning champions FC Porto after two rounds. For Moreirense, it's a harsh reality check following their opening-day draw with Braga, leaving them stuck on one point and staring at the bottom half of the standings as the season gets underway.
