Getafe vs Racing Santander

Getafe ground out a 1-0 win over Racing Santander at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, in a match Racing will regret letting slip despite controlling much of the play. The visitors held the edge in possession all afternoon but couldn't turn that dominance into goals when it mattered most. The turning point came late. In the 75th minute, Jorge Salinas was fouled inside the box by Saba Sazonov, handing Racing a penalty, but Andrés Martín fired his 77th-minute effort wide of the post. Getafe made the miss count four minutes later, as Enes Ünal tapped in from close range in the 81st minute to break the deadlock. Several yellow cards were shown throughout, including an early one to Sazonov, who later conceded the game's pivotal penalty. The result gives Getafe a home win built on resilience rather than control, while Racing Santander will point to the missed penalty as the moment this game slipped away.
