برایتون مقابل آرسنال

Brighton delivered a statement performance at the Amex, brushing aside reigning champions Arsenal 3-0 in a result far more emphatic than anyone expected. The standout moment came right before the break, when the Seagulls doubled their lead to leave Arsenal shellshocked heading into the dressing room.

Pascal Groß opened the scoring in the 31st minute, and Charalampos Kostoulas made it two on the stroke of half-time. Chema Andrés completed the rout early in the second half. Arsenal had a penalty appeal waved away after a lunge from Gabriel, but otherwise couldn't force their way back into the game despite plenty of the ball.

For Brighton, it's a third straight season they've beaten the reigning champions at home, and the win lifts them to third while confirming them as the league's top scorers. For Arsenal, it's their first defeat of the season, ending a perfect start and exposing defensive cracks Mikel Arteta will need to fix before the international break.
