ซูลต์ วาเรเคม vs เคอาร์ซี เกงก์

Zulte Waregem pulled off a thrilling late turnaround to beat Genk 2-1 on the opening weekend of the Pro League season, overturning a deficit in a frantic final ten minutes at home. Genk took the lead in the 39th minute through record signing Rafiu Durosinmi, who headed home on his debut just weeks after his big-money arrival. It looked set to hand new coach Jess Thorup a winning start, but Waregem struck twice in the space of four minutes late on. Marley Aké curled in a stunning free kick in the 82nd minute to level things, before Serxho Ujka turned the game on its head with the winner in the 86th minute. No cards of note beyond a handful of bookings disrupted the flow of the match. For Genk, it's a sobering start to the Thorup era despite the bright signs from Durosinmi, as the side let a winning position slip away. Waregem, still fighting to shake off last season's relegation scare, couldn't have asked for a better opener, grabbing all three points and an early foothold in mid-table.
