Monaco vs Toulouse

Monaco looked set for another routine home win after racing into a commanding lead, but a spirited second-half response from Toulouse saw the points shared 2-2 at Stade Louis-II. The standout moment came in the final 20 minutes, as Toulouse clawed back a two-goal deficit to snatch a point few expected at the break. Edan Diop opened the scoring with a header in the 29th minute, assisted by Aleksandr Golovin, before Matthis Abline doubled the advantage nine minutes later with a fine strike, his first goal of the season. Monaco went into the break fully in control, but Toulouse reemerged with purpose. Casper Tengstedt halved the deficit from the penalty spot just after the restart, then turned provider for Sion Oppong, who levelled things up in the 59th minute. Tengstedt's all-round display earned him the match's top rating. The draw keeps Monaco top of the Ligue 1 table, extending their unbeaten run, though it halts their momentum and denies them the chance to pull further clear at the summit. For Toulouse, a mid-table side who had struggled for results this season, the point away to the league leaders counts as a notable and confidence-boosting result.
