FC Lorient vs Paris FC

Lorient edged out Paris FC 1-0 at the Stade du Moustoir in a tightly fought Ligue 1 matchday six clash. Despite Paris FC generating more shots on the night, Lorient made their chances count and held firm for a hard-earned three points in front of their home crowd. The decisive moment came in the 68th minute when Gabin Bernardeau found the net, set up by a clever assist from Jean-Victor Makengo, who was later named man of the match. The game saw plenty of ill discipline, with yellow cards shown to Lassine Sinayoko, Samir Chergui, Hamari Traoré, Montassar Talbi, Patrick Zabi, and Maxime Lopez, though no red cards or penalties were awarded across six added minutes. The result lifts Lorient to 8 points and 8th place, a confidence boost after a shaky start to the campaign, while Paris FC drop their first points in recent weeks but remain comfortably placed in 4th with 11 points, their European ambitions still well intact despite this setback on the road.
