Le Havre vs Angers

Le Havre and Angers played out a scoreless draw at Stade CMA CGM Océane, with the hosts dominating territory but finding goalkeeper Anthony Lopes in inspired form. Le Havre piled forward all afternoon, racking up 16 shots to Angers' 9 and edging the expected-goals count 1.10 to 0.56, yet couldn't turn pressure into a breakthrough. There were no goals to separate the sides, though the game wasn't without incident. Angers defender Jordan Lefort picked up a yellow card in the 32nd minute, while Le Havre's Ahmed Touba was booked deep into stoppage time as tempers frayed late on. Both managers shuffled their packs from the 71st minute, throwing on fresh legs in search of a winner that never arrived. A point apiece does little to ease the pressure on either club. Le Havre remain without a win through the opening rounds despite showing enough going forward to worry Angers' back line, while Angers will take the clean sheet and Lopes' display as a positive, even as they continue searching for consistency in mid-table.
