Cagliari vs Frosinone

Cagliari beat Frosinone 1-0 at the Unipol Domus, ending a run of four straight league defeats and stopping a four-game unbeaten spell for the visitors. Michel Adopo scored the only goal in the 38th minute. Paul Mendy played him in on the edge of the area and Adopo hit a right-footed shot that Palmisani could not reach. Virgilio lists it as his first league goal of the season. Trepy had to go off with a thigh problem before that, replaced by Sugamele in the 28th minute. Frosinone had the better of the second half and Caprile kept them out several times, stopping Ghedjemis, Birligea and Calò. Cichella hit the crossbar in the 73rd minute and Kofler blocked a Birligea shot from a metre out. Six yellow cards were shown, three to each side, and there were no reds or penalties. Cagliari collect three points. Frosinone stay on 20 points, lose for the third time this season and fall short of a first run of three successive Serie A wins. Next up are Como for Cagliari and Milan for Frosinone.
