Parma and Udinese shared a 0-0 draw at the Tardini on Wednesday, a result that ended a losing run for each side and moved neither away from the relegation zone. The game turned on a penalty in the 69th minute. Maduka Okoye fumbled a corner, and a shot from Mariano Troilo hit the arm of James Abankwah. Adrián Bernabé took the kick, but Okoye guessed the corner and pushed it away, making up for his own mistake. Udinese had most of the play and the better chances. Nicolò Zaniolo curled one just past the top corner, and Hassane Kamara also missed the target. Around the hour mark Troilo threw himself in front of a Keinan Davis shot from 12 yards with the keeper beaten. Late on, Jurgen Ekkelenkamp slid in from five yards, only for Troilo to clear off the line. Debutant Giovanni Daffara then denied Unai Gómez from point-blank range. For Parma, it is a first point under Alberto Gilardino after three defeats. Udinese had lost six in a row. Both clubs sit on five points.
