Parma vs Torino

Torino won 3-0 at the Ennio Tardini, and Giovanni Simeone scored twice to give Alberto Gilardino a first home defeat as Parma coach. Simeone had the visitors ahead after four minutes, finishing into the top corner with his left foot from a cross by Rafik Belghali. Ché Adams made it 2-0 on 24 minutes, heading in the rebound after a Simeone effort was blocked. VAR checked the goal for offside and let it stand. Simeone then settled the game on 69 minutes with a long-range strike, again set up by Belghali. Parma did have chances. Enrico Delprato missed from close range just before the break, and Matija Frigan had a goal chalked off for offside late on. Sascha Britschgi was booked for diving, and there were no red cards. The defeat leaves Parma on 4 points from 7 games, second from bottom, and it is their second loss in a row under Gilardino. They travel to Lazio next. Torino have 10 points, level with Napoli and one behind Juventus, and host Monza on Friday.
