ایندپندینته دل والیه مقابل دپورتس تولیما

Independiente del Valle closed out a commanding second-half surge to beat Deportes Tolima 3-1 in Quito, sealing a 4-1 aggregate win and a spot in the Copa Libertadores quarterfinals. The hosts, already up 1-0 from the first leg in Colombia, needed just over an hour to put the tie beyond doubt, controlling possession and picking their moments on the counter. The breakthrough came through Daykol Romero, who pounced on a rebound in the box in the 58th minute, before Carlos González doubled the lead in the 70th. Tolima pulled one back with a genuine highlight-reel moment, Junior Hernández curling in a long-range strike in the 83rd minute to briefly stir hope of a comeback. Any doubt was erased deep into stoppage time when Matías Perelló added a third to cap the rout. The win sends Independiente del Valle into their second quarterfinal in club history, where they'll face defending champions Flamengo. For Tolima, the elimination continues a rough stretch for Colombian clubs in the competition and leaves the club to refocus entirely on its domestic league campaign for the rest of the year.
