Azerbaijan vs San Marino

Azerbaijan came from behind to edge San Marino 2-1 in an international friendly in Szombathely, Hungary, with Renat Dadashov's second-half finish proving the decisive blow in a scrappy, card-filled affair. San Marino made a stunning start when Nicola Nanni rose to head home from a free kick in the 9th minute. Azerbaijan steadied themselves and equalised through Rahman Dashdamirov in the 27th minute, sending the teams level at the break. Dadashov settled it just four minutes into the second half with a composed right-footed effort from mid-range. The match was feisty throughout, eleven yellow cards were distributed across both teams, though no one was dismissed. For Azerbaijan, the win offers useful momentum during their Austria training camp ahead of upcoming fixtures. For San Marino, the early goal was a rare bright moment, but familiar defensive frailty ultimately cost them once again.
