پرتغال مقابل نیجریه

Portugal signed off their pre-World Cup preparations with a 2-1 win over Nigeria in Leiria, substitute Francisco Conceição sealing it in the 74th minute with a left-footed drive into the far corner that gave the goalkeeper no chance. Pedro Neto had given the hosts the lead in the 23rd minute, finishing clinically from a cutback to end a four-month international drought. Nigeria hit back through Akor Adams in the 36th, muscling past defenders on the counter to level. Cristiano Ronaldo endured a frustrating evening, missing several clear chances before being withdrawn in the second half, while João Félix struck the crossbar with a half-volley that appeared to cross the line but was not awarded. For Portugal, the win delivers exactly the momentum they needed ahead of Group K at the 2026 World Cup, where they face Colombia, DR Congo, and Uzbekistan. Nigeria, who missed the tournament after an African playoff defeat, showed plenty of spirit, but couldn't deny the hosts their send-off.
