เวลส์ vs กานา

Wales and Ghana played out a gripping 1-1 draw at Cardiff City Stadium, with Lewis Koumas stealing the show by heading home a late equalizer for his first senior international goal. Ghana broke the deadlock in the 66th minute through Caleb Yirenkyi, who prodded home a rebound after Karl Darlow had saved from Prince Kwabena Adu and a follow-up attempt clipped the post. Wales had looked the sharper side before the break, Dan James forced a fine stop from Lawrence Ati-Zigi and rattled the crossbar, but couldn't convert their pressure. Justice arrived in the 94th minute when Koumas met a Neco Williams cross with a diving header to send Cardiff City Stadium wild. The match was part of the Football Association of Wales' 150th anniversary celebrations. Both sides head into the 2026 World Cup with something to build on. Wales will be heartened by their late resilience, while Ghana will need to tighten up defensively if they are to make an impact on the biggest stage.
