Senegal made a statement in Paris on Saturday, cruising to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Peru in an international friendly at a sold-out Stade de France. The Lions of Teranga dominated proceedings and never looked troubled as they continued their preparations for the 2026 World Cup. Nicolas Jackson broke the deadlock in the 41st minute, finishing coolly after a brilliant run and pinpoint delivery from Ibrahim Mbaye. Senegal carried that momentum into the second half, and Ismaila Sarr doubled the lead in the 54th minute to put the game beyond Peru's reach. It was a frustrating evening for Peru, who struggled to create clear-cut chances against a well-organised Senegal defence. For the Teranga Lions, it was exactly the kind of assured, professional display they needed with a World Cup summer on the horizon.
